Massive fire breaks out at Centaurus Mall in Pakistan’s Islamabad
Pakistan: Islamabad: 9 October 2022: Centaurus Mall on Sunday was on a massive fire broke out at 3rd floor which spread across other floors, it reached to upper floor which is residential apartments.
It is reported that alongwith fire brigade, Pakistan Navy and Air force also joined the rescue operations. As per news short circuit at a restaurant was the reason. No causality has been reported. SAR equipped helicopters were deputed for evacuation from the higher floors. It was around two hours operation which went underway to control blaze.
As per Pakistan media reports delayed arrival of rescue team made situation intense.
An investigation has been ordered by the authorities. It is well known business centre of Islamabad.
As per some social media reports lack of proper firefighting equipments made situations difficult for the fire department. Even proper exit system was not on the place. It raises question on the safety of high raise.
