Fire erupted in Coaching Centre in Mukherjee Nagar, New Delhi, 61 injured, Students rappled to escape from the building

In the recent fire incident in a coaching centre in northwest Delhi has reminded Surat Coaching fire. A fire call was received from Bhandari House, Batra Complex, in Mukherjee Nagar at 12.27 pm. Eleven fire tenders were rushed to the spot and it took two hours to douse the fire and rescue operations. According to the report 61 students, as well as staff of commercial offices have sustained burn injuries in the incident.
Panicked students were seen rappelling down using AC wires, ropes or ladders arranged by fellow students and local residents. Scene of panic & chaos was seen in the videos. It was UPSC coaching centre.
Officials claimed that prima facie short circuit may the reason for the incident.
