Fraser Island Bush Fire: Residents told to leave immediately

A large bushfire which has spread 700 meters of a small township on an Australian holiday island: Firefighters are battling with Fire

Residents of Happy valley urged to evacuate as the blaze raged east cost across Fraser Island.

Firefighters have been battling with to control blazes on the island. The efforts have been thwarted by continuing heat wave and dry ground.

An illegal campfire in mid October sparked bush fire that has burnt through over half of the island. Fraser Island is the world's largest sand island and listed as a Unesco World Heritage site.

The Fraser Island fires are among the most serious blazes seen in Australia since its "Black Summer" last year. Climate scientist  assume that 2019-20 bushfire season by far its largest and most intense on the record and was driven by climate change.

Te bush fire warning has been pushed to emergency level and residents were told to evacuate immediately. About 100 firefighters & more than 25 water-dropping planes were deputed to contain the fire. Firefighters dropped massive loads of water and fire suppressant on the blaze.
